چکیده

Tea waste was used to successfully synthesize magnetic nanoparticles (TWMNPs). In this investigation, Pb (II) eliminated by tea modified with magnetite (TWMNPs) investigated. To prepare the TWMNPs, FeCl3.6H2O dissolved in double distilled water (DDW) and 20 g of pulp added slowly stirred, after 30 min TWMNPs adsorbent were separated through an external field washed three times ethanol then dried at 60°C. The FESEM test shows particle size range 15–20 nm spherical/cuboid-shaped crystal structure Fe3O4 (magnetite). X-ray analysis showed that main XRD diffraction peaks are related Fe3O4, HighScore plus X’Pert software identify phase sample. specific surface area prepared 25.2 m2.g−1. pore volume, maximum radius, VSM 14.4 cm3.g−1, 2.3 nm, 3.37–2.41, respectively. effects various parameters, such as contact time, pH, concentration, dosage, studied. experimental isotherm data analyzed using Langmuir Freundlich models, it found removal process followed adsorption capacity calculated fitting 10.67 mg.g−1. addition, kinetics first-order kinetic model value rate constant be 14.04 × 10−2 min−1. results increasing pH level led a rise response removal. Also, trend had increase initial concentration (II). Increasing time from 5 minutes has slight effect on Considering results, could lead suitable for wastewater containing metal. And

Removal of Pb (II) from Aqueous Solutions Using Waste Tea Leaves

Background: The presence of lead in natural waters has become an important issue around the world. Lead has been identified as a highly toxic metal that can cause severe environmental and public health problems and its decontamination is of utmost importance. The aim of this work was to evaluate the adsorption of lead (Pb(II)) on waste tea leaves as a cheap purification method. Methods: In thi...

REMOVAL OF Pb(II) FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION BY SORPTION ON USED TEA LEAVES

Batch sorption study was performed using used black tea leaves (UBTL) as a low-cost adsorbent for the removal of lead (II) from aqueous solutions. Experiments were conducted as a function of contact time, initial metal ion concentration, solution pH and temperature. The sorption of Pb(II) on used tea leaves increases with increase of initial pH of solution upto a certain limit which corresponds...

Heavy Metals (Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II)) Ions Removal by Modified Jute: Characterization and Modeling

Jute modified has been used for adsorption of Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II) ions over a range ofinitial metal ion concentration. Adsorption process is done in batch mode. Adsorption isotherms ofthe heavy metals on adsorbents prepared were determined and correlated with common isothermequations. It was found that the Freundlich isotherm is better than Langmuir for explaining thebehavior of adsorp...

Adsorption Efficiency of Iron Modified Carbons for Removal of Pb(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution

Abstract Introduction: The Lead causes severe damage to several systems of the body, especially to bony tissues. Until now, several low-cost biosorbents have been studied for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. In the present study, carbonized pomegranate peels modified with Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions and then it was investigated for removal of Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution. ...
